Femoral osteotomy to correct valgus deformity

Doctor: S.Robert Rozbruch

Patient: Andrew

Andrew has a valgus (knock-knee) deformity of the left knee associated with lateral joint degeneration and pain.

He underwent an osteotomy of the distal femur and acute correction of the deformity using an EBI monolateral frame. The surgery was percutaneous (minimally invasive). Full weight bearing was allowed immediately. The bone was fully healed and the frame was removed after 3 months.

Undue stress has been removed from the lateral joint compartment of the knee and his pain is improved and progression of arthritis will be slowed.

Andrew is very happy with his straight leg.
